The Role
KOMI Group is the place of viral videos, jumping on trending stories, entertainment and news. You must be a strong storyteller, who is full of creative ideas and can be part of a fast-paced team.
We need a skilled Social Producer and Editor to curate engaging material for a YouTube page. We seek a high-performing team player who can utilise resources and has strong communication skills. The ideal candidate understands what captivates online audiences, and tailors content to diverse episodes.
You are responsible for delivering and getting involved in every part of video creation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Working with the internal creative team to generate story ideas for episodes that exist outside of regularly scheduled clip show programming.
2. Assembling detailed briefs for these episodes, including shot lists of video content, scheduling, and organising resources.
3. Liaising externally and internally to compile any additional content needed for the episodes.
4. Working with the editors and the page manager to edit videos with a strong story and narrative.
5. Working to targets set by the page manager that contribute to the overall output of the page.
What We're Looking For
1. Understanding or proven experience working with social media platforms in a creative capacity, especially pitching and editing story/content ideas.
2. Post-production (Premiere Pro editing) and creative producing experience.
3. You will manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is desirable to the audience and are required to have an awareness of industry trends.
4. You will produce creative video edits and place videos into a schedule.
5. Ensuring story content and ideas are well thought out. Bring innovative ideas to enhance storytelling, experimenting with new formats and styles.
6. You will report to your line manager on video performance, with an analysis.
7. You are passionate, creative, and have a fire to produce amazing content.
8. Aware of a brand’s audience and creating content suitable for the target audience as well as expanding the creative potential of the channel.
9. You have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and alone, an organised and quick learner, who is naturally proactive.
10. You are excited by the opportunity of working for a fast-paced social creative agency.
11. You have the ability to prioritise and cope with last-minute changes (e.g., scripts & setups).
