What you'll do
Based at our offices in Maidenhead, the purpose of the role is to make authentic connections with the consumer, understanding their wants and needs to match them with the right Volvo product. The role will, both educate and guide the consumer, ensuring a consistent experience through the omnichannel approach.
This role represents Volvo, so must always demonstrate professionalism, best practice and putting the consumer, as well as able to identify where the consumer is on their buying journey and adapt the experience to suite, always looking to maximise opportunities to sell but recognising that may not be a direct conversion but instead booking in an appointment at a retailer or test drive. This is a SAF Accredited role.
Key responsibilities:
* Handle enquiries via phone, email, chat, text, and video to move consumers through the sales journey.
* Build rapport with customers through friendly, engaging communication.
* Log and process enquiries in Salesforce for effective follow-up.
* Meet KPIs across commercial, consumer, and operational metrics.
* Capture detailed consumer insights to provide personalised recommendations, including accessories and packages.
* Upsell premium grades, packs, and options where appropriate.
* Maximise inbound lead conversion and support marketing initiatives.
* Conduct outbound calls to qualify and convert leads into prospects and customers.
* Suggest improvements to enhance customer experience.
* Collaborate with Customer Relations to resolve sales-related requests.
* Work with retailer partners to ensure a seamless omnichannel journey.
* Follow up on prospect leads to secure orders, maximising sales and profitability.
* Maintain SAF accreditation and all required competencies, including QA assessments.
What you'll bring:
The successful candidate will have:
* A proven track record in high-volume sales and value-based selling.
* Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
* In-depth knowledge of the business sales car market.
* The ability to sell ideas internally (VCUK) and externally (clients, retailers, lease companies) to maximise sales and returns.
* Strong stakeholder management and rapport-building skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM systems like Salesforce.
* A history of adapting to various styles while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
* Resilience, self-motivation, and a commitment to self-development, seeking feedback proactively.
* A positive, adaptable approach to changing priorities.
* Confidence in engaging with colleagues and customers at all levels.
* A calm, organised nature with keen attention to detail.
* A balanced focus on both customer and company needs.
* Ownership of tasks, working independently with effective self-management.
* A systematic, process-driven approach to work.
