My client is a Heavy Plant Company operating from the West Midlands with customers across the UK. It has approximately 30 employees and a loyal and established base of customers. I am looking for an experienced and successful Operations Director / Operations Manager with a successful track record in the civil engineering/engineering/heavy plant business. You will be well organised, have strong management skills, be an excellent planner, and great communicator with the ability to deal effectively with customers, suppliers and staff. You will also have a strong commercial understanding and be organisationally focussed. This role requires someone who is confident being hands on, flexible, and adaptable. You will also have a good financial understanding, and be used to the day to day running of a business including HR. You will have an excellent work ethic and be fully committed to the business, and willing to travel as necessary. You will need a good understanding of accounts and able to read a balance sheet & P&L, and be able to control costs. You will have experience in running a business either fully or partially and probably from a small / SME business background. Knowledge of the construction & heavy plant equipment sector is an advantage. Salary commensurate with experience but circa £80,000 - £100,000 pa with company car, pension scheme and other benefits
