Fram are delighted to be working with an excellent wealth manager who are seeking an experienced Paraplanner for their Edinburgh office. This role is to work closely with and support two Independent Financial Adviser, by preparing and maintaining clients’ files, completing whole of market research to enable a recommendation to be made, preparing application documents and producing an appropriate suitability letter. This is a technical role so would ideally fit a Diploma qualified individual, although our client will consider someone a few RO’s off level 4 if they are an experienced Paraplanner. Responsibilities include : Work closely with IFA’s to support client work. Liaise with the IFA’s and use Fact Find documentation to progress client work. To carry Whole of Market research to explore options for clients and establish which is the most appropriate approach for each client Must maintain a good knowledge of compliance and regulatory responsibilities to ensure that we operate at all times within the requirements of the FCA Produce clear, easy to understand reports that explains the suitability of the recommendation being made. Submission of applications and subsequent resolutions of any issues that arise to ensure the work is completed correctly and in a timely fashion. Prepare for client reviews and produce analysis of performance including cash flow forecasts Support the firm as required at Industry meetings and client meetings Review and comment on individual reports Attain and maintain competent status as defined by the firm. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) needs to maintain and enhance Competent status and undertake appropriate activity to meet those needs. Keep up-to-date with new product, technical or legislative changes within the marketplace. The ideal candidate will have experience with Report writing software, preferable Genovo, including SelectaPension APTA facility. Have knowledge of Morningstar or other industry analysis tools preferably FE Analytic and back-office systems, like Xplan, and CashCalc, but not essential.
