Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Area Sales Manager covering the Northern Home Counties & Anglia Region. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing sales activities in the designated region, developing and maintaining customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and providing product knowledge and support to clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Account Management:
* Manage sales for existing and potential customers, including National & independent merchants, and buying group members.
* Maintain and develop relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
* Utilise industry resources, such as Glenigan leads, to support customer opportunities and back-selling contracts.
* Business Development:
* Target and convert prospective customers in collaboration with the sales team.
* Promote professional training programs to contractors and trade members.
* Sales Administration:
* Submit daily sales reports and maintain up-to-date plans using CRM tools
* Ensure all accounts in the territory are properly logged and updated within CRM and Glenigan systems.
Targets and Expectations
* Achieve sales and margin targets across product categories.
* Conduct a minimum of 6 customer visits and 6 planned phone calls daily, logging activity via CRM updates
* Create and execute structured call plans to align with internal sales strategies.

* Proven experience in sales within the construction or roofing industry.
* Experience selling through Merchants
* Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
* Proficient in CRM systems and reporting tools.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
