Job Description:
Band 6 Occupational Therapist, Priority Response and Community Rehabilitation
Full time 37 hours per week. (Permanent)
An interesting and challenging opportunity has arisen based at Inverurie Hospital.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to be based in the Community at Inverurie, Kemnay and Insch. This post is within a well-established Multi Disciplinary Team. The post holder will provide full assessment and treatment programmes for community rehabilitation patients and provide a Priority Response to prevent hospital admission where possible or to support a discharge. There are a wide variety of conditions and complex needs in the patient population. Multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working is essential for seamless community care, and the occupational therapist is a vital part of this.
The post holder will require excellent communication and organisational skills.
Supervision and allocation of work to an OT support worker and training of students are integral parts of the job, as is service development within the Area and the Health and Social Care Partnership Teams.
Experience in caseload management and physical rehabilitation in the community is desirable, along with a valid driving licence and a car available for business use.
We offer regular support, supervision, CPD, and development opportunities in line with KSF.
'There will be an expectation to provide services over 7 days, including weekends, public holidays and extended hours, where required, to meet the need of services.'
This post may be rotational.
Interviews are scheduled for Tuesday 29th April 2025.
Informal enquiries to Suzannah Elrick, Garioch Team Leader on Tel 01467 672718.
