Free pitch offered
This is a small 20 van site on 4.5 acres. At least half the pitches are let on a regular basis; there is no shower block or toilets so no cleaning involved. I am going to retire and am looking for someone to take over. It’s essentially a pretty easy and straightforward job with the opportunity for additional groundsman work. Have a look at thedairycampsite.
The job description:
1. You need to be reasonably computer literate, at least unafraid of them; for keeping track of bookings, payments, replying to phone and email messages (training will be given).
2. Organising pitches and hook-ups for incoming caravans or motor homes and greet new arrivals, showing them to their pitch, occasionally adding more electric units if required.
3. Communicate with the regular customers, occasionally collecting pitch fees and reloading their electric meter cards.
4. Keep the site tidy, checking bins and recycling, putting bins out for collection, checking the cesspit level.
5. A basic understanding of the electrical supply, enough to be able to reset a trip switch.
Very approximately 7 hours work a week.
Additional jobs with some remuneration:
1. Hand mowing
2. Strimming
3. Ride on leaf blower
4. Twig collector
5. Hedge cutting
6. Possibly, if you are confident, a large ride on mower.
Your skills will include:
1. A very practical common sense approach, able to communicate well with visitors.
2. Enjoy meeting new people and have a friendly attitude.
3. An organised and tidy approach.
4. Honesty and integrity (you will need to supply at least two references).
I will be available a lot of the time on site and hours can be very flexible depending on arrival times. This can be all year, particularly with ground maintenance.
