PARTS AND SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
A full time, permanent career opportunity exists for a customer focussed Parts and Service Representative to join our busy and successful parts team in our modern Christchurch branch in Hornby. The role is integral to the ongoing success of Penske New Zealand and we are therefore looking for someone who has the energy to exceed and deliver results. Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Penske parts and service offerings to customers, dealers and OEM's within the South Island.
Job functions include:
1. Directly market and sell Penske products - parts and services, including but not limited to: Western Star, MAN, Dennis Eagle, Detroit, MTU and all other makes and products for use in On & Off – Highway applications.
2. Follow approved call cycles to make regular contact with customers, dealers & OEM's to ensure their satisfaction with parts and services received.
3. Prepare weekly and monthly reports detailing customer visit frequencies and spend, achieved sales vs budgeted sales and new customer development rates.
4. Increase and maximise all parts sales using up-selling and cross selling methods.
5. Provide quotes/business proposals with new and existing customers when requested and keep records of any lost sales.
6. Meet personal KPI's by winning new clients, additional business and achieving sales targets.
7. Further develop and expand the Penske parts and service business across the South Island.
About You:
Your core responsibility will be to maintain excellent relationships with our extensive customer database throughout the South Island. You will pride yourself in being a strong communicator with meticulous attention to detail and fantastic time management skills. Ideally you will have previous work history in heavy parts sales, and a strong geographical knowledge of the South Island and the heavy transport operators and heavy workshops within it. You will be comfortable working autonomously and planning your working weeks to ensure a regular call cycle to customers. You must have the flexibility to spend time away from home on a regular basis.
