Salary: £37,000 - £50,000, + up to 10% bonus per annum
Working Location: Nationwide (Home-based working)
Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent - 36.25 hours per week
Becoming a Registered Building Inspector
We will consider individuals who are in the early stages of working towards RBI application and support you with the necessary requirements to become a Registered Building Inspector (Class 1, 2, 3) with NHBC.
NHBC support: Dedicated professional employee support team for the Building Safety Regulator framework, providing funding and training.
* Note: This opportunity requires a minimum of Class 2A-F RBI Registration.
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Building Surveyor/Senior Surveyor to join our team. You will contribute to our projects by assessing building control applications, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting our inspection teams.

Key responsibilities:
* Assess Building Control and warranty applications for residential and mixed-use developments
* Negotiate with developers and builders from design to completion
* Coordinate inspections, issue certificates, and resolve certification issues
* Support inspectors and inspection managers with expert advice and review of complex building elements
What we are looking for:
* Deep knowledge of Building Regulations, building technology, and technical training
* Experience with structural defects, claims, engineering, NHBC Standards, and site inspections is beneficial
* Construction experience in housing and commercial sectors
* Understanding of building pathology
* Excellent communication skills
* Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to develop your role
* Experience in Building Control
* Full driving license
Qualifications:
* Working towards or holding chartered membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., MCIOB, CABE)
* Construction-related qualifications such as City and Guilds, HNC, HND, NVQ, or equivalents
