About the Role Project Architecture You’ll lead the development of project architectures in a specific business, infrastructure or functional areas, and within a change programme, you’ll lead the preparation of technical plans. Providing advice on technical aspects of solution development and integration you’ll ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are utilised correctly. System Design Designing medium or complex systems, you’ll adopt and adapt appropriate systems design methods, tools and techniques selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches, whilst ensuring they are delivered effectively. You’ll undertake impact analysis on design options and trade-offs, make recommendations, and assess and manage associated risks, whilst ensuring that the project design balances functional and non-functional requirements. Reviewing others’ designs you’ll ensure the selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources, and the integration of multiple systems and technology, whilst contributing to the development of architecture policies, standards and selection of architecture components. Relationship Management & Expert Advice You’ll identify the communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups, whilst facilitating open communication and discussion between stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact by developing, maintaining and working on stakeholder engagement strategies and plans, to facilitate business decision-making processes. Actively maintaining recognised expert-level knowledge in one or more identifiable specialisms, you’ll oversee the provision of specialist advice by others, and consolidate expertise from multiple sources, including third-party experts, to provide coherent advice to further organisational objectives.
