Job Introduction
Turning Point is a Health & Social care charity organisation with sixty years of experience. We have a great opportunity for a Team Leader position for one of our homes in North Watford. The home in question is bungalow situated in the North Area of Watford, within easy access on public transport.
We provide twenty-four-hour support for six men who live with a profound learnings disability with some difficulties relating to age and health. The service that we provide is designed around every single person’s needs and wishes.
Parkview is residential care home that provides a warm and relaxed homely environment for the people that live there.
The role of the Team Leader is a full-time role that will require both time in the office and shift work which supports the overall management of the home with the Registered Manager.
The role is both working on shift providing direct support including aspects of personal care as well as management time completing management tasks.

What skills and qualities do I need to have?
· The ability to inspire and drive excellent support within a team.
· The ability to meet financial and business targets.
· A track record of supporting and empowering people to live more independently in their community developing positive outcomes for those being supported.
· Experience of supporting individuals with various needs including autism learning disabilities, complex physical or health needs.
· The ability to communicate effectively to a range of audiences.
· Flexibility regarding your working hours
· Being on call to support the area team (this is paid separately)
· Willing to work towards NVQ level 4/5 qualification.
The Ideal Candidate
Building on your experience of working with people with learning disabilities, you'll set, maintain, and develop standards as part of our service. As the team lead, your focus will always be on ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality services, with a person-centred focus - all within a challenging, but very rewarding environment. You can be some one who wants to develop your career in Health and Social Care and already be a support worker or an existing Team Leader.
