The client is a medium sized M&E Contractor who have been established for over 40 years, they have developed a strong reputation for specialising in the design and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Heating services to clients across London and the South East. They work primarily on a combination of large scale residential and housing association projects.
As the company’s NICEIC Qualified supervisor, your primary role is to ensure the company complies to current regulations set out by the IET from preconstruction through to practical completion.
Reporting into the Operations Director the position requires you to work independently ensuring all aspects their Electrical project deliverables meet current regulations and design.
* Electrical Testing, ensure all testers and subcontract testers meet contractual obligations on time and carry out suitable witness testing and tester audits
* Design, assist project teams to review of electrical designs and drawings prior to commencement and during the delivery of works. Report any areas of non-compliance risk with proposed mitigation strategies
* Inspections, carry out audits of installations in terms of design compliance, regulations and quality whilst issuing any necessary improvement notices. Recommend, inspect and sign off benchmark installation proposals
* Defect Period/PPM, assist the company’s service and maintenance teams with any aspects of electrical installations in occupied buildings
* Staff Training, mentor electrical apprentices via suitable periodic inspections and appraisals. Hold training workshops to explain the information issued on the bulletins for the Engineers, Project Managers and Estimators
* Health & Safety, ensure the H&S Manager is made aware of any key electrical risks on any contract by means of site tours or training as and when required
* Estimating, assist the electrical estimators with any queries whilst ensuring they are made aware of all current regulations.
The area you will be required to cover includes London and Northern Home Counties which include Watford, Milton Keynes, North London and as far as Bedford. You will be required to use your own vehicle, but all travel expenses will be reimbursed
