As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Grad TA), you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their academic goals and develop key skills. If you want to inspire and support young learners in secondary schools while gaining invaluable classroom experience, we would like to hear from you As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (TA), what you’ll have to do: Work collaboratively with teachers to support the delivery of engaging and effective lessons. Provide tailored academic support to students, both one-on-one and in small groups. Assist with lesson planning and the preparation of classroom resources. Encourage active student participation and monitor progress to ensure all learners thrive. Support students with diverse needs, promoting inclusivity and engagement. Help maintain a focused and positive classroom atmosphere. Participate in extra-curricular activities to enhance students’ educational experience. Support the school staff in implementing behaviour and safeguarding policies. Graduate Teaching Assistant Requirements: A recent graduate with a degree in any discipline (Psychology, Education, or related fields is an advantage). Prior experience working with young people, either paid or voluntary, is beneficial. A passion for education and a desire to support young people in their learning journey. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students and staff. Adaptability and resilience to work in dynamic classroom settings. An interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education. An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willing to apply for one.
