Lead Engineer - Manufacturing Maintenance
Location: Sittingbourne (ME10 3NB)
Salary: £55,918 (including shift allowance) plus overtime & benefits
Hours: 42 hours per week, 4 on - 4 off, rotating days & nights

We are investing heavily in our Engineering community with great opportunities for personal development and career progression. We are recruiting for Engineering Team Leaders to join our site in Sittingbourne, Kent.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Leading a team of two engineers on shift to ensure continuous production by eliminating downtime through safe and logical fault finding and maintenance.
* Working on various types of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
* Carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site.
What are the mission critical skills?
* Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (time-served apprenticeship).
* 3+ years of experience in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation.
* Experience leading an engineering team is preferable, though not essential.
* Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of associated regulatory requirements.
* Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities.
* Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
* Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives and team leaders from both maintenance and production.
* PLC and VSD knowledge is advantageous.
* Previous experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
