The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Funds Lawyer to join our client's London team. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in fund formation and structuring, with a particular focus on offshore jurisdictions. You will be responsible for advising a range of clients, including fund managers, investors, and financial institutions, on a variety of complex fund matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advising on the formation and structuring of a variety of fund products, including hedge funds, private equity funds, and real estate funds
* Drafting and negotiating fund documentation, including partnership agreements, limited partnership agreements, investor agreements, and fund management agreements
* Providing ongoing legal advice to fund managers and investors on regulatory and compliance matters
* Working closely with colleagues in other jurisdictions to deliver seamless cross-border advice
Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following qualifications and experience:
* Qualified lawyer with 5-12 years' post-qualification experience in funds law
* Admitted to practice in a Commonwealth jurisdiction
* Strong technical knowledge of fund formation and structuring, with a particular focus on offshore jurisdictions
* Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong client service orientation
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
