Luxury department store, Harvey Nichols, is searching for a new Assistant Department Manager to join its thriving Beauty department in our Manchester store. Our culture is based on inclusivity; we embrace diversity. Whoever you are, Harvey Nichols has a place for you.
As the new Assistant Department Manager, you will work 40 hours a week on a rota basis, including weekends.

About the role…
As an Assistant Department Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and make their Beauty dreams a reality, providing a fun and enjoyable 5* experience. You will also be leading a team of Beauty Advisors and working closely with your Department Manager to support them in achieving the very best. You will:
* Provide ongoing training and coaching for your team
* Be devoted to our customers by providing the highest possible standards of customer service both face to face and via telephone or email
* Show we are obsessed with style by maintaining a high standard of presentation and merchandising of products in your department
* Take accountability for finding a resolution to customer queries and complaints
* Develop a high level of product knowledge and share your opinions on current and future trends
* Work closely with your team and celebrate fabulousness wherever you see it
* Flexibility is a must; customer service can’t wait during weekends and evenings!
Desirable skills/Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience in a similar customer-facing role
* Experience of management or mentoring
* Enjoy and know our brands and products
* Strong organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills
