This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in account management and business development within the IT sector, looking to join a dynamic and growing company based in Solihull.
About the Role:
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for a mix of new business development and account management, working closely with existing customers while also driving new client acquisition. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of your own portfolio and develop strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients in the IT distribution space.
You will be involved in:
* Managing and growing a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
* Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the IT distribution sector.
* Building strong relationships with both existing and potential customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
* Collaborating with internal teams to deliver excellent service and resolve customer issues.
* Achieving sales targets and KPIs, ensuring that the company’s objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement account strategies to drive business growth.
* Regularly meet with clients to understand their requirements and deliver exceptional service.
* Maintain a pipeline of potential business and follow up on leads.
* Provide clients with up-to-date product information and offer relevant solutions.
* Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth delivery of solutions.
* Report regularly on progress, forecasts, and outcomes to senior management.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience in account management and business development within the IT sector.
* A strong understanding of the IT distribution industry and the products/services available.
* A proactive approach to developing new business and managing existing accounts.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
* The ability to meet sales targets and work independently, as well as part of a team.
* A full UK driving license is preferred, as some travel may be required.
