In-House Operator
Hours: Continental four on, four off 12 hour (6AM - 6PM) day shift pattern
Salary (DOE): £26,000 - £27,500) + £3,048 shift allowance
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site support to customer through the following:
Dispense ink in line with the daily production plan(s)
Move product to & from machines as required
Book back press returns into the dispense management system
Place press returns in clearly marked locations
Re-work press returns where possible
Maintain ‘top running colours’ on press, where applicable
Wash buckets via the ‘bucket washer’
Assist with weekly Ink ordering process
Assist with Ink ordering & deliveries
File all delivery notes
Book new deliveries / replenish material stocks into the dispense management system
Assist with monthly ‘consignment’ stock count
Maintain excellent housekeeping in all Flint areas
Support ink production through the following:
Observe & comply with all customer & Flint Group H&S rules and polices
Ensure ink area complies with customers hygiene accreditation
Maintain dispensing equipment & working area with good housekeeping techniques
Complete all relevant SSOW (Safe Systems of Work)
Maintain on-line training requirements (via Litmus portal or DocuSign)
Complete daily / monthly HSE ‘self-inspections’ as required.
Ideal Background – Capabilities, Skills & Experience
Must have good colour vision & an eye for detail
Must have excellent communication skills and be capable of performing their daily duties without direct supervision
Must be able to work under pressure and demonstrate value activity to the customer
IT skills are preferred as are good problem-solving skills
Must be methodical and tidy in their work
FLT license preferred, but training can be provided
This is a physical position which requires multiple lifting / pushing / pulling repeats of ‘Ink’ buckets, up to 20kgs in weight, being transferred around the factory &/or Ink kitchen as part of the daily duties
