About us
The Vale Federation is a group of schools in Aylesbury, with 350 staff members across teaching and non-teaching roles. The schools in the Vale Federation are Booker Park primary special school, and Stocklake Park secondary special school which has a dedicated special 6th Form, catering for post 16 students. At the heart of our schools is our commitment to enabling our young people to reach and achieve their full potential in a caring, considerate and supportive environment, working closely with parents and carers and the many professionals teams and therapists involved in their day to day development.
Being part of the Vale Federation HR Team, you will be assisting with the day-to-day HR function. The main duties of the role involve aspects of recruitment such as collating applications, arranging interviews and on-boarding of new staff. Other tasks include assisting with staff absence management processes, and working alongside the HR Manager and HR Officer contributing to the smooth operation of the HR department.
About you
The ideal candidate will have previously worked in an HR role; maybe with experience of working in a school or a similar setting, although this is not essential. You will need to be a good organiser and able to prioritise your own workload. It is essential that the postholder understands the need for confidentiality and discretion and has a working knowledge of GDPR, as you will be handling personal data relating to all staff across the schools. This post would be suitable for a person who has excellent attention to detail, is able to show focus and concentration in a busy office environment and is willing to take responsibility for designated tasks.
