Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM FM is recruiting a Maintenance Officer to work on site in Ealing. This is working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday. Either 5am - 1pm or 6am - 2pm. Your mission • Carry out reactive general cleaning. • Carry out scheduled and reactive waste management duties. • Carry out meeting and conference room set up and reinstatement as requested. • Provide assistance as and when required with minor moves of furniture, filing and equipment • Carry out snow clearing and gritting application duties to paths and car park areas required and provide assistance to special sub- contractors as required • Carry out emergency response and reactive maintenance duties via helpdesk, including providing necessary duration and completion information to the helpdesk. • Collect onsite recycling waste and assist in promotion of waste reduction and recycling programmes. Liase with specialist contractor for the confidential waster removal when on site. • Carry out the daily cleaning of the large waste bins as required. • Liase with sanitary hygiene services when on site including obtaining and updating all the necessary paperwork. • Take monthly utilities reading and report to Deputy FM Manager. • Changing light bulbs and ensuring other fixtures and fittings are in good working order. • Weekly and monthly checks of water hygiene, emergency lights and plant equipment to confirm correction operation. • Assisting M&E engineers with planned maintenance • External waste management including litter picking, sweeping and general tidiness of external areas. • Weekly fire alarm checks • Additional Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist Deputy FM Manager with delivery of annual life cycle programme. • Minor plumbing and carpentry • Painting and decorating. • Fire marshal duties • Maintenance of equipment, check for quality/safety and report other damages needs • Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and productive working environment. • Ensure compliance by self and others with all Health and Safety policies and procedures. Who are we looking for? • IT Literate in Microsoft Office packages • Ability to relate well to customers, work colleagues and children • Working knowledge of Health, Safety & Welfare Regulations • Understanding of COSHH Regulations • Awareness of Manual Handling • Excellent communication • Willingness to develop skill set • Demonstrate a flexible attitude and willingness to work as part of a team • Good attendance /Timekeeping • Flexible approach What’s in it for you?
