We are searching for a Head of Accident & Health and Contingency Reinsurance in London to head up our A&H lead market Treaty book of business which is predominantly Syndicate market. The role is London based but candidate would be expected to liaise closely with colleagues worldwide throughout the group. This position will be based in our London office with a hybrid schedule that has the option of working two days remotely each week. Core Responsibilities: Profitably manage and develop a significant Accident & Health and Contingency Treaty Reinsurance portfolio. An ability to lead and influence terms is paramount both on a Proportional and Excess of Loss basis. The role requires a blend of both technical expertise and experienced relationship management and the candidate should be equally comfortable liaising with actuarial colleagues or meeting senior representatives of clients and brokers. Work with our colleagues across other business units to opine and advise on Accident & Health and Contingency opportunities throughout the organisation. To access the suitability of risks under the supervision of the CUO giving consideration to cycle management, exposure management and above all profitability. To maintain a focus on building and strengthening Everest's relationships with ceding companies and brokers. To serve as the primary link with the Actuarial team on both pricing and reserving matters. Manage accumulations across the group, reporting appropriately and in a timely fashion to the London Executive Committee and Head Office. Contribute to underwriting meetings, quarterly business reviews, business planning and annual strategy meetings. Travel and audit as appropriate.
