Job Description:
Job Duties:
1. Provide 1:1 support to a child with a prosthetic limb in an educational setting
2. Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
3. Support the child with personal care needs, if required
4. Implement strategies to promote the child's independence and inclusion
5. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
6. Experience working with children with special educational needs
7. Knowledge of supporting children with physical disabilities
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
9. GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
10. Demonstrated experience in a similar role within an educational setting
11. Understanding of the SEN Code of Practise
12. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of the child
Preferred Qualifications:
13. Additional training in supporting children with physical disabilities
14. First Aid certification
15. Experience with assistive technology
Working Conditions:
16. Work hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
17. Work environment: Educational setting, including classrooms and outdoor areas
18. Potential for personal care assistance, as needed
19. Collaborative work with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
