Description
As a Business & Solution Consultant to existing customers, your focus will be on revenue generation by upselling products and services to our existing customer base. You will play a key role in the consultative sales process for complex software solutions. You will discover and then bridge the gap between customer needs and the software’s capabilities, working closely with institutions to understand their challenges, demonstrate value, and recommend software solutions or bespoke work that drive business outcomes. By combining deep product knowledge with industry expertise, you will guide customers through the decision-making process, ensuring solutions align with their strategic goals while closing deals effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive Revenue Growth Through Strategic Consultative Meetings: Oversee designated customer accounts with the primary goal of increasing revenue and expanding share of wallet through upselling and cross-selling.
* Attend industry conferences and events to foster relationships, gain insights into customer needs, and identify sales opportunities.
* Showcase Kinetic Product Solutions: Deliver compelling demonstrations of Kinetic’s product offerings, both virtually and in-person, to effectively communicate their value.
* Provide Market Intelligence and Customer Feedback: Gather and relay market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to enhance current solutions and contribute to the development of new products.
* Foster Long-Term Customer Relationships: Cultivate enduring relationships with clients and key industry stakeholders to strengthen business ties and support mutual growth.
* Utilise CRM and Analytical Tools: Use platforms such as SalesForce to collect and analyse market and prospect data, enhancing decision-making and market insights as well managing opportunities through the sales cycle within the platform.
* Support Marketing and Sales Efforts: Assist in the execution of the company’s marketing and sales strategies to drive engagement and sales success.
* Collaborate on Configurable Solutions: Work closely with internal teams to assess and define tailored solutions that meet client needs and specifications.
* Process Maturity and Efficiency: Develop and refine processes to ensure scalability and efficiency and to enhance overall sales journey and effectiveness by developing standardised templates, creating and maintaining documentation for sales processes, etc.
* Handle RFPs and Contract Negotiations: Analyse and respond to RFPs/RFIs, manage contract negotiations, and oversee the preparation and administration of addendums.
* Ensure Exceptional Customer Satisfaction in the sales process and beyond: Implement both tactical and strategic approaches to guarantee that customers are not just satisfied but delighted with the services and products we sell.

Desirable Skills/Experience
* Experience with SalesForce or similar CRM systems.
* SaaS/Cloud based Business Development Experience
* Experience in building relationships with Higher Education Institutions
