PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND TASKS You will primarily be part of the urgent care team, working alongside GPs and Nurse Practitioners to meet patients acute medical problems. Delivering minor ailment clinics integrating both drug and non-drug based treatment methods into a management plan. To identify, manage and support patients at risk of developing long term conditions, preventing adverse effect to patients health. To maintain accurate clinical records and ensure read codes are used effectively Participate in national and local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient care. Support and participate in shared learning within the practice, including the review of significant events. Ensure clinical knowledge is kept up-to-date and mandatory training requirements are met. Person Specification HCPC qualified and registered Paramedic Clinical examination skills Management of patients with common acute illnesses and minor ailments. Caring attitude with excellent communication skills Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively Full UK driving licence HEALTH & SAFETY The post holder is required to take reasonable care of his/her own health and safety and that of other persons who may be affected by his/her own acts or omissions. To assist Mortimer Surgery in reducing healthcare associated infections and maintaining high levels of infection control you should be familiar with the surgerys IPC policy. You must either complete online mandatory training or attend the in house annual IPC update. You must be compliant with all standards relevant to your department at all times. You are responsible for keeping your work area clean and tidy.
