We're looking for an experienced Capital Project Manager to deliver capital projects across the full NCA footprint. Working across all four of our sites - Salford, Oldham, Rochdale and Bury - you'll have experience of delivering capital projects on major operational sites such as a hospital.
You'll get involved in capital developments on all our sites, and will be experienced in project delivery, planning and monitoring as well as being financially adept, able to forecast and profile spend across multiple projects. You'll need to be a strong stakeholder manager as well and able to work with contractors, clinicians and other colleagues, and comfortable with holding everyone within projects to account.
Main duties of the job
You'll be responsible for:
1. Supporting the delivery of the NCA's estate capital programme to ensure excellence of facilities is achieved within financial constraints.
2. Preparing and maintaining project plans and other project documentation and publishing these to project boards.
3. Delivering capital projects from feasibility through to timely completion and within budget working alongside project teams and construction partners.
4. Ensuring all capital projects are completed to high standards using best sustainable practices whilst achieving value for money.
5. Provision of professional advice/expertise for schemes across the NCA.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Professional / academic qualification at Degree level or equivalent experience in Capital Development.
* Evidence of continuing personal and professional development.
* Further management or relevant professional qualifications e.g. Chartered Status such as RICS, CIOB etc.
Skills
* Professional background including specialist knowledge in more than one of the following areas for a significant time: architecture, construction, engineering, project management.
* Evidence of understanding of commercial, governance, operational and legal structures and their application.
* Ability to write specifications and undertake tender exercises.
* Ability to manage budgets effectively including profiling and forecasting across a project's lifetime.
* Well-developed communication and influencing skills with the ability to motivate teams and gain consensus at all levels within the organisation.
* Effective negotiating skills and the ability to successfully manage difficult and controversial situations.
* Ability to work well as an effective, high profile and flexible member of a multidisciplinary team and to share and encourage good practice and support continuous improvement.
* Able to analyse data and draw conclusions based on this.
* Able to make a reasoned assessment of a situation and draw pragmatic conclusions.
