If you answered ‘Yes’ to the questions above, I may have just the job for you I am currently working on behalf of a small primary school in Preston to recruit and appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant to work one-to-one with a child in EYFS with Speech and Language difficulties. The school have recently received an EHCP for the child, which is the reason for the role arising. The successful candidate will be required to start feb 2025 on a PAYE contract through Teaching Personnel; however, the Head Teacher is looking to offer a permanent school contract from January 2024. The school is an Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school. It boasts an excellent outdoor area. There are two experienced Class Teachers who work in the EYFS class, as well as two other Teaching Assistants. The successful candidate will be well supported by a friendly and approachable Head Teacher. The Head Teacher is looking for a teaching assistant with a minimum of a Level 2 qualification specific to Early Years or Primary Education, as well as a strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the 7 areas of learning. Experience of supporting pupils with Speech and Language difficulties is desirable. Working one-to-one, you will be expected to: - Liaise closely with the Class Teachers, School SENCo, Speech and Language Therapist and parents. - Support the pupil in working towards and achieving their individualised targets. - Encouraging the child’s engagement in the continuous provision and building relationships with their peers If you are interested in applying, and hold the necessary qualifications and experience, please send across your latest CV.
