Our client, a rapidly expanding company in the fire suppression industry, is looking for an additional project manager to join their growing team. The role would suit someone who has a good grasp of project management principles and is looking to develop their skills and specialise in a niche area of engineering, under the guidance of their expert senior staff.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning: Ensuring plans fit the scope, ensuring that H&S compliance is adhered to, risk management, liaising with all stakeholders, etc.
2. Project Management: Ensuring materials, staff, and contractors are in place, project milestones are reached, problems identified and overcome, etc.
3. Budget Management: Under the guidance of senior management and gaining more autonomy over time.
4. Client Liaison: Ensuring clear communication of processes, expectations, deliverables, etc.
5. Documentation and Compliance: Ensuring all project documentation is in place from drawings through to final inspection documents and sign off. Ensuring all relevant safety codes of practice and regulations have been followed and documented.
Requirements:
1. Knowledge of construction or mechanical engineering focused project management.
2. Experience with construction-based projects, ability to read drawings, liaise with site-based contractors, and relevant health and safety (CSCS card a bonus).
3. Strong knowledge or willingness to learn the intricacies and standards related to fire protection systems.
4. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
5. Ideally 2 years + experience in a similar project management focused position with knowledge of relevant project management tools and methodologies.
6. Excellent multi-tasking skills.
7. Driving licence.
