Overview
The Motor Trade Compliance Officer plays a vital role in ensuring that the organisation adheres to all relevant trade regulations and compliance standards. This position requires a meticulous individual who can effectively manage compliance processes, conduct internal audits, and ensure accurate regulatory reporting. The Trade Compliance Officer will work closely with various departments to maintain the integrity of trade practices and mitigate any compliance risks.
Duties
1. Oversee compliance management activities related to trade regulations and policies.
2. Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
3. Prepare and submit regulatory reports to ensure adherence to trade compliance requirements.
4. Collaborate with the finance department to account for trade-related transactions accurately.
5. Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance procedures and best practices.
6. Monitor changes in trade regulations and assess their impact on the organisation’s operations.
7. Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance compliance effectiveness.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience in compliance management, preferably within a motor trade environment.
2. Strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements related to trade practices.
3. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for conducting thorough internal audits.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders across the organisation.
5. Familiarity with international trade laws and regulations is advantageous.
6. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
