We are currently seeking to employ a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for performing load calculations, equipment selection, and coordinating with other trades to ensure we deliver optimal system performance. In addition, you will be involved in reviewing external design solutions and will be required to conduct site inspections and provide technical support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and develop electrical systems for industrial and commercial premises.
2. Perform design calculations including selection of equipment, lighting, cable sizing, maximum demand, containment, lifecycle, etc.
3. Assist the estimating team by sourcing quotations from suppliers and vetting quotations for compliance with employer’s requirements, specifications, and standards.
4. Provide technical support for the project teams.
5. Stay up to date with the latest regulations and standards and emerging technologies.
6. Review design and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
7. Coordinate with clients, architects, and project teams.
Skills and Experience

Specific Qualifications
1. HND in Electrical Engineering.
2. Proficient using CAD/Revit.
3. Proficient in Trimble design software.
4. Experience in lighting design.
