Main duties of the job
As a preceptee nurse, the candidate will work 37.5 hours per week (12-hour shifts) at Thornford Park, where they will help people with mental health conditions through their recovery pathway to lead as fulfilling and independent a life as possible. The role involves working alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized assessment and treatment programs for individuals with mental illness, complex care needs, and personality disorders. Where you will be working
You will work at Thornford Park which is a combination of medium secure and low secure units and rehabilitation flats. The service provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation.
You will work alongside the multidisciplinary team to provide personalised assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness/ complex care needs as well as those with personality disorder. Service users may have histories of offending and/or may have failed in previous placements.

Qualifications
* The candidate must have a relevant nursing qualification and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). They should also possess strong team-working skills, a high level of self-motivation, a flexible approach, a positive attitude, and a naturally caring and compassionate nature. A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice is also required.
