About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the overall strategy, planning, and execution of the supply chain and procurement functions at Essential Pharma. This will involve overseeing all supply chain activities, including sourcing, supplier relationship management, S&OP/demand planning, inventory control, logistics, and integration of new products into the portfolio while maintaining full GxP compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead initiatives to improve supply chain processes, focusing on efficiency, cost savings, compliance, and risk mitigation.
2. Develop and manage a small team, ensuring they deliver to company goals and grow within the company.
3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of newly acquired products and new partners into the business and management of changes to requirements in relation to the supply of products.
4. Monitor and manage global supply chain disruptions, identifying alternative sourcing solutions.
5. Manage and maintain strong relationships with global and local suppliers, establishing and monitoring appropriate KPIs and ensuring performance and adherence to quality and service standards.
6. Oversee demand forecasting, inventory management, and scheduling to meet market needs and regulatory timelines.
7. Proactive risk management that ensures appropriate inventory levels, balancing just-in-time delivery with safety stock to prevent shortages.
8. Oversee the transportation, storage, and pre-wholesaler partners, including cold chain logistics and hazardous material handling, adhering to GDP (Good Distribution Practices).
9. Prepare and manage the procurement and supply chain budget, provide regular reports and analysis on procurement performance, savings, and supply chain risk management.
10. Provide leadership for Supply Chain and Procurement on S&OP, senior SRM oversight, cross-functional alignment, and negotiation on pricing/COGs.
