To supervise day-to-day administration duties and a team of administrators, working closely with the management team, Biffa’s head office team and the client. As Senior Administrator, you will have an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of our depots, enabling Biffa to fulfil the requirements of its contract.

1 Supervise the day-to-day workload of the administration office to ensure that all telephone calls and emails are responded to quickly and efficiently and within specified time limits.
2 Manage day-to-day contract-related tasks including the distribution of work schedules such as: exemption lists, repeated misses, bulky lists, clinical lists, and streets schedules/variations to the relevant teams.
3 Contact crews with day-to-day issues that need to be resolved and, when required, escalate issues to the supervisor team.
4 Ensure all paperwork, or electronic documents generated by or provided to the administration team, are filed correctly.
5 Monitor stock levels for fuel, uniform, stationery, bins, sacks, and other items, as requireds by the depots in the contract. Also, assist Business Managers at the depots to maintain stock levels and replenish them when necessary.
6 Be polite and respectful with all colleagues, members of the public and client representatives at all times.
7 Act as a scheduler on Ceridian Dayforce (Biffa’s HR system) and complete any workforce management tasks delegated to you by the Business Manager.

Previous administration experience
Experience of working to strict deadlines in a time-critical environment
Previous experience of managing staff in an administration setting
Able to follow Health and Safety policies and procedures
Basic knowledge of Health & Safety Skills
Able to plan, organise and prioritise work tasks effectively
Good time management skills with the ability to multi-task
Good customer service skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Able to work with minimal supervision General Attention to detail Able to remain calm and resolve problems
