We are looking for a Junior Buyer to join our Motorsport team. You will be driven, determined and flexible with a can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and update supplier information.
2. Negotiate with suppliers ensuring best total acquisition costs.
3. Place purchase orders from requisitions releases and exception reports within the agreed time frame before order placement.
4. Develop suppliers to continually improve service i.e., costs, quality, delivery and support.
5. Maintain best working practices at all times in line with department systems and policy.
6. Feedback delivery information to production/sales team and ensure best communication throughout the company.
7. Continually enhance the professional image of the purchasing function both internally and externally.
8. Provide administrative support to the Purchasing Team.
9. Co-ordinate client satisfaction process and feedback for business development meetings.
10. Support Senior Buyers as required.
Who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and time management skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment and dealing with changing priorities. You will have strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and experience using a fully integrated ERP system. Previous experience in a similar Junior Purchasing role would be advantageous but not essential.
