The role holder is to act as a key member of the SCOR Delegated Operations management team working in a fast-paced environment that encourages new ideas and a fresh way of thinking. Responsibilities include roles for the organisation:
SCOR Company or Syndicate Delegated Authority:
* Responsible for operational relationships with Coverholders or MGAs.
* Management of due diligence process and administration of all classes for corresponding coverholders/for MGAs or TPAs. Including but not limited to, new Coverholder sponsorship, annual due diligence review and approval (including all third parties).
* Foster internal collaboration and alignment between functional departments.
* Liaising and providing guidance to underwriters, transversal functions and stakeholders.
* Assisting and implementing regulatory directives.
* Oversight and control of internal/external business associated forums and actions.
* Management of outsourcing arrangements and monthly performance against SLA’s.
* Review third-party audit recommendations and resolution of identified actions.
* Ensure data quality meets SCOR standards and rectify where gaps identified.
* Oversight of income or EGPI reviews, updates; results and reporting requirements of the credit control function, and outward contracts reporting needs.
* Management and support of all Delegated Authority team members as required.
* Identify opportunities for improvements in cost savings and efficiency across the processes.
* Oversight of statutory, regulatory and non-regulatory reporting, including requirements and report development.
* Ensure delegated systems including Alpha, SalesForce, Vipr and the HUB remain fit for purpose.
* Contribute to COEs by creating and maintaining policies, programs and procedures to ensure it meets business needs. If applicable, as COE lead responsible for strategic direction of COEs.
* Other management ad hoc tasks as required.
Change and Operational Improvements:
* Champion in identifying, executing and communicating improvements to the operating model (technology and process).
* Lead and Define data and risk assessment guidance related standards across SCOR.
* Support cross company collaboration through targeted workshops, status briefs and informal updates.
* Manage monthly or quarterly internal controls while implementing process efficiencies where possible.
Committees and Memberships:
* Member of portfolio risk management team or SCOR Syndicate Conduct Risk Product Oversight Committee and Delegated Underwriting Committees.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Ensure smooth assessment and onboarding of new and renewal binders.
* Assess strengths and weaknesses of partner relationships, driving out recommendations during the due diligence process or for the audit cycle.
* Support regulatory compliance (both reporting and process related).
* Identify and implement changes to improve service availability, effectiveness and cost.
Required experience & competencies:
* Strong P&C industry knowledge, with a demonstrable understanding of the underwriting process, underwriting file management, and overall insurance company operations.
* Experience in designing and evaluating controls.
* Insurance Related or DUA experience (couple of years).
Required Education:
* College/University degree required, bachelor's degree, or equivalence.
