Functional Safety Engineer
Salary: 60-70k + Annual Bonus + Company Car / Car Allowance
Hours: 40 hours per week

What you'll be doing:
Based at Ellesmere Port High Temperature Incinerator, the Functional Safety Engineer ensures a robust functional safety management system is in place to achieve compliance.
1. Provide expertise and appropriate direction to the development of functional safety management across the wider business.
2. Provide EC&I technical support to site projects as required.
3. Support COMAH activities - intervention visits and safety report development.
4. Support long term hazardous waste functional safety improvement.
5. Be the Veolia functional safety subject matter expert.
6. Ensure audits are carried out to cover all aspects of functional safety.
7. Develop and work with other internal functions on asset strategies.
8. Support functional safety/process safety competency development.
9. Hazard study support as required (PHA/HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA).
What we're looking for:
1. Experience in management of functional safety lifecycle for safety instrumented systems.
2. TUV Functional safety engineer.
3. Experience in leading hazard identification and risk assessment (PHA/HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA).
4. Experience working with COMAH sites.
5. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels.
6. Be motivated to drive improvements within the business to achieve a proactive culture.
