Our client are looking for an Assistant Accountant to perform daily accounting tasks that will support our financial team. Supporting the finance department, financial controller, and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks. Maintaining weekly reports and completing bookkeeping and accounting duties for the company. Location: Slough Shift pattern: Monday Friday Hours: 42.5 Annual salary: £35,000 per year. Study support after successful probation period. Key responsibilities: Weekly cashflow forecasts Working with other members of the finance team to produce weekly management accounts. Monthly balance sheet account reconciliations Create and process monthly journals (prepayments, accruals, depreciation, etc) Work with the financial controller to manage the month end closing process VAT Returns Completing financial reports on an adhoc and regular basis to provide insight to the finance team and wider management team. Variance analysis and producing financial KPI Reports. Assisting the financial controller and senior staff members with various other tasks, including preparing budgets, analysing management accounts, and liaising with external auditors.
