The role
The main purpose of this Bristol-based position is to support Professors Christine (University of Bristol), Grant Miller (Stanford University) and Áureo de Paula (University College London) in implementing and carrying out data analysis for a randomized controlled trial on demand for contraception taking place in Nigeria.
You will work closely with the principal investigators (PIs) and the survey implementation partner to develop and pre-test the endline survey instrument, monitor fidelity of implementation, clean the data collected, and analyse the data under the PIs' guidance. Depending on qualifications, experience and motivation, you may also contribute to the drafting of initial reports and be a co-investigator in grant applications to extend the project.
What will you be doing?
Your main roles will be to review, adapt and adjust pre-test survey instruments; monitor daily the data collected to ensure fidelity of implementation of the survey protocols; clean the data; and implement the data analysis plan devised by the PIs.
You should apply if
You should apply if you have a postgraduate degree in Economics or related topics or are working towards one, have experience manipulating and analysing large datasets in Stata, and possess a strong attention to detail while being able to effectively identify priorities and communicate them clearly.
