Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial and commercial success of our high-value infrastructure project in Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and control project costs to ensure timely delivery within budget.
* Prepare and review cost forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
* Validate and manage subcontractor and supplier payments to maintain accurate records.
Contract Administration
* Administer the NEC 4 Option C contract, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.
* Manage Compensation Events (CEs) and variations, ensuring timely submissions and agreement with stakeholders.
* Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain comprehensive project records.
Risk and Value Management
* Identify, analyze, and mitigate commercial risks to minimize potential losses.
* Assist in value engineering to optimize project performance and reduce unnecessary costs.
Reporting
* Provide regular financial reports, including cost-value reconciliations (CVRs) and forecasts to stakeholders.
* Presentation of financial performance and risk updates to inform decision-making.
Collaboration
* Liaise with the client, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain strong relationships and effective communication.
* Support the procurement team in evaluating and appointing subcontractors to ensure quality delivery.
Requirements
Essential:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
* Strong knowledge of NEC 4 contracts, particularly Option C.
* Excellent financial management and analytical skills to drive informed decision-making.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills to build strong relationships.
* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CEMAR, MS Excel, or similar tools).
Desirable:
* Experience on power infrastructure or substation projects to leverage existing expertise.
* Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field to demonstrate academic credentials.
