Position Overview:
As an assistant site engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of our Ironbridge project. Your responsibilities will include surveying, setting out, quality control, and ensuring that the project adheres to design specifications and industry standards. You will work closely with the site management team to assist in the delivery of high-quality results, contribute to the safe operation of the site, and assist in achieving project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct site surveys, set out engineering works, and ensure accuracy in all measurements.
* Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and subcontractors to plan and execute project tasks efficiently.
* Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress, and quality control checks.
* Assist in resolving technical and engineering challenges that may arise during construction.
* Support health and safety initiatives, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team.
* Contribute to the project's success by meeting deadlines and delivering work of the highest quality.
* Liaise with design teams and stakeholders to address engineering-related queries.
Qualifications:
* Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or a related field.
