Laboratory Technician
Role: Laboratory Technician

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the company for a Laboratory Technician.
Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the Laboratory Technician will perform a range of duties in the Laboratory as required. They will perform routine laboratory tests to a high quality, in accordance with SOPs & Risk Assessments.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To undertake routine preparation and analysis of samples.
2. To assist with the management of laboratory equipment e.g. monitoring, recording, calibration and maintenance.
3. To undertake any other sample preparation and analysis work assigned to them.
4. To keep up to date with changes in technology.
5. To attend training and development courses as required.
6. To participate in safety, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
7. To calculate and report results in a timely manner.
8. To record results obtained in LIMS.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. Must have a relevant third level science or technical qualification.
2. Experience with ICP-MS, ICP-OES and XRF instrumentation would be advantageous.
3. 2-3 years Laboratory experience is required.
4. Experience in an industrial Laboratory would be advantageous.

Additional Info:
1. This role will be full time, Mon – Fri basis from 7:30am – 16.00pm.
2. There will be a degree of flexibility required as part of this role in line with operational requirements.
3. There will be some international travel required as part of this role.
