If the answer the above is yes, then you may be interested in the Senior Environment Advisor I am currently recruiting for. The role is working with one of the worlds leading infrastructure and civil engineering construction companies. The company has global revenues of over €19 billion annually and is currently engaged on some of the largest and most exciting infrastructure projects in Europe. This role will be working with a dedicated Environment team on a Multi Billion pound scheme.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Environment Advisor will include:
Provide advice on hydrogeology throughout the project lifecycle, from design to operation, and support the development of management and monitoring plans. Analyse monitoring data and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Advise on and manage the application for environmental consents and authoring documents for planning condition discharge. Liaise with stakeholders and regulators, supporting the Environment Manager and Project Management team in compliance efforts.
Produce and maintain environmental management plans and site-specific environmental instructions. Support project audits, track significant environmental impacts, and provide regular updates to senior management on hydrogeology-related matters.
Ensure employees are aware of their environmental responsibilities and statutory duties. Identify training needs, deliver relevant training, and maintain records to ensure compliance with legislation, environmental procedures, and contract requirements. The successful Senior Environment Advisor requires:
Qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate environmental discipline (Hydrogeology)
Professional membership with a recognised body (Geol IEMA)
Demonstratable hydrogeology experience ideally with water resources and water quality background
Demonstratable knowledge of Environmental legislation and regulations within the construction / civils engineering industry.
