At North Middlesex, we have a brand new, well-equipped Delivery Suite that offers care to women from Enfield and Haringey, representing a diverse range of backgrounds. We care for many women with complex needs, creating a challenging environment and providing excellent opportunities for learning and development within a supportive, learning-focused team.
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic midwife to:
1. Provide women-centred care across various settings to help women achieve their desired birthing experience, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high standards of safe, women-centred care.
2. Participate in the ongoing professional development of midwives, supported by an outstanding practice development team during your supernumerary period, including a comprehensive orientation programme.
3. This is a rotational post requiring work in all areas within Maternity Services, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care, with participation in future service developments and continuing professional development.
4. Engage in annual performance reviews with defined targets and work autonomously within professional guidelines and practice standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-standard midwifery care to mothers and babies, supporting the family unit.
* Take charge of the Ward/Department regularly in the absence of the designated responsible person.
* Participate in the IPR process, supervise, mentor, and provide preceptorship for junior staff.
* Teach, lead, and manage qualified staff, students, and student midwives.
* Rotate between clinical areas to meet service needs during times of escalation.
