Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Key Stage 3 Classroom Teacher to join our close-knit team at Dibden Park School.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs, including autistic spectrum disorder or pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
Responsibilities:
* Teach a varied range of subjects
* Prepare, plan and assess teaching sessions while maintaining awareness of curriculum developments
* Write and implement individual education plans, making assessments of educational attainment and setting challenging yet achievable targets
* Build relationships with all young people, encouraging their interest and participation in their education
* Create an environment that is stimulating and purposeful for all pupils, promoting teaching and learning outside formal classroom settings
Requirements:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status
* Background of teaching a range of subjects, delivering teaching at a good or outstanding level
* Knowledge of current education issues in relation to practice, process, and curriculum
* Experience in or interest in working within an SEN setting, supporting pupils with challenging behavior (SEMH/ASD)
