Assistant Head of School
Location: Royston
Contract Type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: L1-L6 (£47,185 - £53,380 per annum)
Teaching Personnel are excited to have the opportunity to work with a large SEN School based in Royston, the school are looking for a dedicated and passionate Assistant Head Teacher, to undertake overall responsibility for the school in the absence of the Head of School and to lead on school examinations.
Key duties
* Working closely with staff and students to maintain the school’s strategic objectives
* Assisting the Head of School in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of our Quality Improvement Plan
* Leading our staff by monitoring their progress whilst encouraging and contributing to their ongoing training and professional development
* Maintaining responsibility for the welfare, conduct and progress of our students, ensuring that the needs and priorities for individuals are effectively disseminated to all staff.
* Working in partnership with parents, carers, external agencies and the wider community to foster positive relationships, thereby improving pupil achievement, personal development and inclusion opportunities.
* Leading, monitoring and evaluating the content and effectiveness of the school curriculum in partnership with other key members of staff whilst also monitoring student attainment and progress
Essential Qualifications:
* Qualified teacher status.
* Leadership experience
Desirable Qualifications:
* Accredited training in specific areas of special education, e.g. PMLD/SLD/ASD needs
* NPQSL

The school is located in Royston, you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle. The school has parking available on site.
