Location: GB-Wainscott-RSME Islingham Farm (or as required within the United Kingdom and/or overseas.
Role Requirements (to either hold or be working towards as directed by Line Manager):
1. National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) Instructor
2. NVQ Assessor- Plant Operations
3. Defense Instructional Techniques (DIT) qualified
4. Professional Teaching Certificate
5. CAT B, C, G & H driving licence
6. Attend Defense Trainer (residential) course (DTc)
Specific Duties:
7. Train MOD Regular and Reservist personnel at the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME)
8. Ensure the operation and maintenance of plant equipment or Engineer Construction Plant in line with Course Documentation
9. Responsible for Health, Safety and welfare of personnel under training
10. Perform reasonable tasks commensurate with grade
Dynamic General Duties:
11. Prepare and maintain Course Documentation
12. Mark, assess, and provide constructive feedback on student performance
13. Ensure serviceability and maintenance of equipment used by students
14. Maintain equipment as required by the training program:
15. Receipt equipment from Babcock
16. Maintain the equipment and documents for the demand period
17. Report faults immediately to Babcock
18. Monitor and record rectification of faults
19. Return equipment to Babcock in line with doctrine
20. Submit reports on students and courses as detailed by Line Managers
21. Perform any reasonable tasks given by Line Managers
22. Stand in for Line Managers when requested
23. Act as an Operator in various demonstrations when requested by Line Managers
24. Be responsible for personal welfare by following Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies, and other related policies
Strategic Management/Communication Excellence:
25. Communicate honestly with Line Managers
26. Be responsible for personal time and attendance
27. Achieve deadlines/targets set by Line Manager
28. Work within the departmental budget and assist in cost control
29. Assist Line Manager in implementing change within the department
30. Communicate and liaise with all other departments as required
31. Assist Line Manager in working towards the Business Plan and Long-term/Strategic objectives
Reviews & Planning Commitment:
32. Be available for timely reviews and appraisals by immediate Line Manager
Training & Evaluation Innovation:
33. Ensure receipt of agreed training identified at appraisal or outside
34. Complete requests for training documentation and discuss fully with immediate Line Manager
35. Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development activities
36. Effectively utilise new skills from training received
Responsibilities Showcase:
37. Work within the Company’s Quality procedures within relevant departments
38. Assist in working towards & maintaining relevant standards
39. Conform with Health and Safety at Work Regs and environmental issues
40. Conform with actions necessary in cases of incidents, accidents, fire and environmental issues
41. Keep all work areas clean and safe
42. Undertake/perform other duties associated with this role, by agreement
43. Act as an ambassador for the Company
