Do you have a passion and enthusiasm for supporting young people to improve their mental health and reach their potential?
Galaxy House, an inpatient CAMHS unit, have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join our comprehensive team offering mental health support to children and young people up to 18 years. Newly qualified Clinical Psychologists will be well supported via supervision, CPD and opportunities to train and develop within a team that highly values psychological formulation and evidence based interventions.
Working with children and families presenting with a range of mental health challenges, you will have opportunity to develop core clinical skills in assessment, formulation, therapy, consultation and supervision of others. We offer a robust supervision and development structure in terms of psychological therapies training within the Trust and across Greater Manchester to access specialist training in line with your own and the team's needs. Clinical psychology is well integrated and valued both within the team and within the wider MFT CAMHS directorate under the Director of Psychological Services.
This post involves working in Galaxy House to provide a specialist clinical psychology service to children referred by regional CAMHS including psychological assessment and intervention with children and families, group work, staff training, consultation and support and provision of psychological advice as part of the multidisciplinary team, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the departmental policies and practices. The post is designed to support provision of a clinical service, in conjunction with more senior clinical psychologists, to inpatients and their families in Galaxy House.
We are keen to promote innovative practice, as well as traditional individual psychological assessment and intervention.
