Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for a Traffic Clerk for our client based in Holmewood. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, forward-thinking logistics business that is growing rapidly.
This position is working 4 on 4 off NIGHTS (18:00 - 06:00).
You will be supporting the planning team to ensure the day-to-day operations run smoothly. You will be required to debrief all drivers to meet the business and compliance needs.
Briefing Outbound Drivers:
1. Ensuring agency workers sign in and out on the correct tab.
2. Hand out all necessary documents in the driver pack & explain the importance of signed PODs.
3. Ensure drivers report any defects to their vehicle before embarking on their journey. If defects are reported, pass these to the General Manager/Transport Manager for authority to release the vehicle.
4. Ensure all drivers have the correct PPE to undertake their job and do not enter the warehouse without wearing a high visibility vest.
5. Ensure drivers are aware to ring the office with any queries/hold-ups.
Returning Drivers:
1. Ensure all jobs have been completed without any issues.
2. Check that all paperwork has been completed in full, including their run sheet.
3. Ensure there is a signed POD for all the deliveries carried out.
4. Check, scan, and send copies of PODs to agreed customers at the time of receipt.
5. Ensure all fuel cards are handed back in and sign them back in on the fuel card log.
6. Ensure all agency staff have recorded their return time on the agency daily sheet.
7. Any pallets returned for storage/cross-dock are accounted for, and paperwork is put in the cross-dock tray. Communicate these instances to warehouse staff on handover.
8. Download of digi-cards.
An immediate start is available for the successful candidate. This position could be temp to perm or straight permanent from day one depending on the candidate's circumstances/situation.
