Week 1: Wednesday - Friday, 22:15-07:30
Week 2: Thursday - Saturday, 22:15-07:30

Lothian Villa is looking to recruit a dynamic night residential worker with extensive experience in residential child care.
The preferred candidate will be based at Lothian Villa Ravensheugh House, Musselburgh.
This is a temporary maternity post for approximately 9 months.
The successful candidate must hold an HNC in Child Care (Working with Young People) & an SVQ level 3 & relevant experience related to this sector.
As part of a team, provide direct support to children and young people across the Long Term Support Service.

Relevant Qualifications
Essential: You must hold a minimum of either an HNC or an SVQ3 in Social Care, with a willingness to obtain the other qualification within a designated period to meet SSSC Registration requirements, or any other equivalent qualifications to meet SSSC Registration requirements, along with an ability to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
SSSC Registration
Registration is an essential requirement of this role. If you are appointed and are not already a member of the “Residential Child Care Worker” section of the SSSC Register, you will be required to apply for registration as soon as possible and this must be achieved within three months of your start date.
Driving Licence
A full current driving licence is desirable for this post.
PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
