Fundraiser | Loughborough | Part Time | £14,861.60 per annum
Our client is looking to recruit a Fundraiser to assist their charity in securing an income for, and promote the work of, our domestic and sexual abuse charity.
They have a long history of organising major events as part of our fundraising programme. Current and past events include:
The Loughborough Colour Run
Strictly Come Dancing competitions
Cycle Challenges
Fashion Show
Sky dives
Marathon participation
The fundraiser will support the delivery of the current fundraising programme and coordinate our social media platforms to promote activities and raise awareness of domestic abuse and sexual violence.
Are you the right person for the job?
Driving licence, business insurance and ability to travel across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland
Understanding of domestic and/or sexual abuse
Experience in administration and basic financial management
At least two years’ experience of planning, organising and running events
At least one year’s experience of coordinating social media campaigns
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills
An ability to work under some pressure and to effectively manage a varied workload
A willingness to work flexibly in response to the needs of colleagues and organisational aims
What will your role look like?
Manage social media accounts and create campaigns to promote LWA, domestic and Report on social media impact and reach to the CEO and Board
Maintain an annual programme of events, including:
Produce detailed proposals and plans covering timelines, venues, suppliers, staffing, budgets, and legal obligations
Secure and book venues, including arranging parking, traffic control, security, and first aid
Sell sponsorship, stand, and exhibition space to potential partners
Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, and health and safety obligations
Promote events through networking, social media management, and liaising with the media
Create event materials such as tickets, posters, and delegate packs
Coordinate staff and volunteers during events
Manage suppliers, handle queries, and troubleshoot to ensure smooth operations; oversee venue dismantling and clearing post-event
Prepare post-event evaluations and feedback for the CEO, Directors, and partners
Research and identify new opportunities for events
Encourage individuals and businesses to support LWA by planning and developing their own events, offering support as needed
Attend meetings and events to promote LWA and raise awareness of its work
Collaborate with the team to contribute to LWA's development
Attend required internal or external training and participate in relevant meetings
Adhere to and implement all LWA policies and procedures
Support the organisation’s aims and objectives, assisting Directors, staff, and volunteers to maintain high service standards for clients
