Warehouse Lead Operative – Shoal & Carnivore Location: Waltham Cross, Herts Salary: £28,225 Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week (excluding breaks) Please note the role requires you to work in an ambient and chilled environment of a temperature of 3°c - 5°c. The role: We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking, and ambitious person to join us in Waltham Cross. The Warehouse Lead operative will oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining safety standards and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse. Key Responsibilities of each role: Assist in the packing of all products produced. Operate machinery and equipment as required (training provided) Carry out a variety of cleaning duties as required. Minimising wastage Produce excellent quality packed products safely and efficiently to meet our customer and technical standard. Ensure a safe and compliant working environment by implementing health and safety protocols and adhering to company policies and procedures. Attention to detail and accuracy with all tasks. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce waste. Maintain the pace and standards of performance within the factory environment. Be responsible for maintaining all legalities, Health & Safety and HACCP control within the department in accordance with Company policy and strict legal guidelines. Perform other Operative duties as required. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations The successful candidate will possess the below skills, experience, and qualities: Previous Warehouse experience is a must, preferably in a chilled FMCG environment. Previous production/picking line experience, goods in experience would be an advantage. The ability to work methodically and accurately in a fast-paced environment. The ability to load and unload goods (manual handling). Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using warehouse management software and MS Office applications.
